This is how I felt after we figured out how much food, beer and wine we needed for the reception:

Kay and I were discussing the details of our wedding ceremony the other day:

Doug: “We should use the wedding vows from Game of Thrones.”

Kay: “I don’t know what that is, so no. Also, just plain no.”

It was worth a shot. Oh and FYI, there are no Lannister or Frey surnames on the guest list, so leave your chain mail at home.

Yesterday I was watching Predator on TV, but I made the mistake of flipping through the channel guide during a commercial and Kay insisted that we switch to Say Yes to the Dress. I started to point out that she had already said yes to her own dress, but exercised some prior restraint for fear that she would point out how many times I’ve watched Predator. At least I got to see this scene:

Speaking of shooting guns at harmless vegetation while wearing sleeveless apparel, I’m really looking forward to the bachelor party.

Well, after many weeks of coercive encouragement, I have finally established an online presence for our impending nuptials. I am still getting the hang of WordPress, but here is the important information you need to know for the time being:
